“The 2015 foundation year for the Northern Beaches Mudcrabs Junior Club was met with significant challenges: one of which was the up-front cost of multiple team kits. Through CC-FNQ’s grant process, the club received the entire uniform funding for jerseys, training shirts, shorts and socks for the junior club target age groups of U5–U11s. ‘Looking like a club’ and creating a professional environment for parents was the first and major step in attracting strong membership numbers, many of which were new to the sport of Rugby Union, a goal achieved by the generosity of CC-FNQ. In a very short period of time, the Northern Beaches Mudcrabs Rugby Union Club and the CC-FNQ initiative have motivated and got physically active 40 local children under the age of 12, with the view to doubling those membership numbers in 2016. The club is fortunate to be the recipient of the focus on local community groups by CC-FNQ, and looks forward to strengthening the relationship into the future.”
– Nathan Crane, President, Northern Beaches Mudcrabs Junior Club
“A big thank you to CC-FNQ, who have provided us with $2,500 to go towards our 2015 players shirts”
– Saints Soccer Club
